FORT INDIANTOWN GAP NATIONAL CEMETARY

IMGP1671

I paid a visit to Fort Indiantown Gap last summer just to see this place of reverence for those who give the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.  Rows upon Rows of white polished granite all lined up in perfect lines.  There are men & women buried here from the Civil War, all the way up to the Afghanistan War.  It’s very quiet here.  No sound.  Signs posted around say “Enter with Reverence”.

All the roads here are lined with the American Flag.

At first, I did not understand this.  It’s like a bombed out church.  Well, your right to a point.  It was built to look like a bombed church from WWII.  Inside this is a round area with monuments to honor all the branches of our Military.  Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, & Coast Guard are all here.

Was the only Grave that I saw with Flowers.  “Where have all the Soldiers gone?”  “Gone to Flowers Everyone.”

Thanks for reading/commenting/following.
