I know. I have not Posted anything for a few weeks. It’s that time of the year again when it’s just too cold to out there “snooping around” with my camera’s for something to Post about. This seems to happen every year like this. So, I thought that I’d start Posting on things that are more personal in my Life of 70 years. There has been allot that I can reflect back on. I’m hoping that the Followers that I still have will stay with me.
So, when the weather outside is just too cold, I do like to use my home made “Light Box.” It’s very simple to make. Just get a medium-size cardboard box and cut out the sides and top, leaving about an inch around the opening. This way you have room for light fixtures to give the subject good lighting. I use 2 Light fixtures on either side of the box. Get some Poster paper that is the size of the inside of your Light Box. They come in a variety of colors for you to use. The Model car above is an example. Shot with a Nikon D7000 using a White background. ISO 200, f/14, AP Mode, Tripod Mounted.
This Model is an exact 1:18 scale of the 1959 Pink Cadillac Eldorado. This Classic Car is just one of the collection that I have. Built on the Fleetwood Body that started way back in the early 1900’s, the factory was in the town that I grew up in . . . Fleetwood, PA The Pink Cadallic and others with different colors were known for their “plush velvet seats”, and the distinctive “tear drop rear lights”. The Pink Cadillac was the most popular. Bruce Springsteen’s “Pink Cadillac” is what that song is all about.
