Hello and welcome back. I also would like to THANK YOU for following and liking my Posts. Your comments are always appreciated.
For this Post, I’m not going to be saying anything about something Historical. Instead, I thought I’d Post about one of the things I like to do here at home. Out in our covered back Patio, I have a small wood shop that I use to make different projects around the house. I’ve made a number of different things, including some shelving and a table. I have pretty much of what is needed for the shop, including a Drill Press, a Chop Saw, a Planer, a Scroll Saw, a Table Saw, and various hand tools. When it’s warm outside I can go make something when I want to, but when the weather turns cold, it’s just too nippy there to do anything. There is no heat there at all. Don’t want to have the expense of installing heat because it would not pay for itself.
When I tore down the old shed, I noticed that one of the Solar Lights I had installed on the shed had stopped working. I thought about this for a bit, and decided why throw it away? Make something different using it, since the Solar light does not work. So, I started making a back stop to hang the light on for the inside of our Home. I always seem to have scrap pieces of wood laying around, so instead of buying new wood, I’ll machine something from what I have. Using my Jig Saw, Sander, Drill Press, and a bit of glue I made what you see here.
It’s nothing real fancy. Just something that will look nice here in the Den. It’s not quite done yet. Have to add some Natural Stain and a number of coats of Mini-Wax to make the wood shine and bring out the color. A White Candle will be placed inside. It should look nice when done.
