“Out There” with my Lens Ball yesterday doing some practice. I have found a way to shoot the Ball and get a better Image than before. Notice the Wood Posts in the foreground? Well, what I did was place Ball on the Post where it would stay in place without rolling off. Then set my Pentax to shoot thru the Ball using my 80-300mm Tamron Lens. It seem’d to work better than trying to hold the Ball in one hand, and focus the camera with the other! That did not work well for me.
This is much better. Taking a Image such as this is not real easy to do. Your Lens has to focus on the Image in the Ball . . . not what’s around it. Camera position, the light, and composition are just a few of what’s involved doing this. However, there is one problem that I have with this. The Image you have is up-side down! I have trouble with that. Don’t like it. The only way to fix this, is to turn the Image. That does not fair well either. Then the Ball is right, but the Post is reversed! Would look like the Ball is hanging/glued to the Post. I’ll work on this to see what can be done. Photoshop CC will fix this problem, but it’s a very involved process.
